SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
Since our beginnings, we have always been convinced that our work and efforts must be focused on promoting the cultural and natural heritage throughout Peru, but always in a responsible manner, so that each of our activities allows for the enjoyment of our current passengers as well as future generations.
How do we intend to make a change?
1. It is already part of our policy to not provide plastic bottles to any of our passengers, but rather to promote the use of canteens to reduce plastic use and avoid its impact on the environment.
2. We require hotels in all categories to provide options for passengers to fill their canteens and avoid the consumption of plastic bottles.
3. We require local and seasonal products from food and beverage suppliers, seeking to benefit local farmers.
4. Engage communities in different destinations to share their ancestral wisdom, customs, and practices, enriching the experience by promoting their traditions and generating value and a circular economy. We work hand in hand with the Umasbamba Community in Cusco and various communities in the Amazon rainforest of Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado.
4. Our collaborators are formally employed and enjoy all the legally required employment benefits.
5. On all our routes, we work with local guides to promote employment in each destination.
6. We prioritize destinations and attractions on our routes where there is responsible use of the site, with the lowest possible impact, and whose benefits are reflected in the local population. Example: Palccoyo Mountain Tour.
7. As part of our commitment to society, we are working with a children's educational institution, San Juan Bautista de Huaral - I.E.I. 326, to sign an agreement to implement various projects that help raise awareness among children about their environment and its importance in the future, sowing the seeds of sustainability from a young age. This year and early next year, the project to be implemented will be a center for inquiry and exploration.
